British Journal for the History of Science
This leading international journal publishes scholarly papers and review articles on all aspects of the history of science.
History of science is interpreted widely to include medicine, technology and social studies of science. BJHS papers make important and lively contributions to scholarship and the journal has been an essential library resource for more than thirty years. It is also used extensively by historians and scholars in related fields.
A substantial book review section is a central feature. There are four issues a year, comprising an annual volume of over 600 pages. BJHS is published by Cambridge University Press.
Isis
Since its inception in 1912, Isis has featured scholarly articles, research notes and commentary on the history of science, medicine, and technology, and their cultural influences. Review essays and book reviews on new publications in the field are also included. An official publication of the History of Science Society, this is the oldest (and most widely circulating) English-language journal in the field.
Osiris
Founded in 1936 by George Sarton, and re-launched by the History of Science Society in 1985, this annual thematic journal highlights recent research on significant themes in the history of science. Recent volumes of Osiris include Music, Sound, and the Laboratory; Chemical Knowledge; and Scientific Masculinities.
All individual and student members of the History of Science Society receive Osiris as a benefit of membership. HSS membership is based on the calendar year; therefore, members receive print and electronic access for the volume of Osiris published in any year during which they are an active member.
Notes and Records
Notes and Records is the History of Science Journal of the Royal Society. It is a international journal which publishes original research in the history of science, technology and medicine.
In addition to publishing peer-reviewed research articles in all areas of the history of science, technology and medicine, Notes and Records welcomes other forms of contribution including: research notes elucidating recent archival discoveries (in the collections of the Royal Society and elsewhere); news of research projects and online and other resources of interest to historians;Â including essay reviews, on material relating primarily to the history of the Royal Society; recollections or autobiographical accounts written by Fellows and others recording important moments in science from the recent past

Since 1970, Social Studies of Science has been a central journal for the field of Science and Technology Studies, serving as a venue for the articulation and development of key ideas and findings in the field from its early years to the current day. The journal is multi-disciplinary, welcoming contributions that advance our understanding of science, technology and medicine as social and material activities.
Studies in History and Philosophy of Science
Studies in the History and Philosophy of Science is devoted to the history of science and historically-informed philosophy of science. It includes monographs, edited collections, and translations of primary sources. The volumes cover the whole period of scientific investigation, from antiquity to recent developments.
Science and Education
Science & Education publishes research using historical, philosophical, and sociological approaches in order to improve teaching, learning, and curricula in science and mathematics. In addition, the journal disseminates accounts of lessons, units of work, and programs at all levels of science and mathematics that have successfully utilized history and philosophy.
